Energize is very happy to welcome Michael Priess to our team.
Michael possesses a wealth of vital experience from his career to date; providing strategic services at management consultancies while proficient in six different languages! These outstanding skills are invaluable to our business and our customers, so to know our newest colleague better, here’s a brief interview:
Hi Michael! What attracted you to join Energize?
“I was open to a new challenge and was contacted directly by Beth about the opportunity to join. After meeting various people at the company I was convinced that this was where I wanted to go! Recruiting SAP professionals for multinationals in Germany seemed like very dynamic work, and the people at the office gave me a very good impression of the social aspects of the company, so I was confident that it would be both challenging and fun.”
What was your first impression of Energize?
“A place with very driven people focused on providing a high level of service to both clients and candidates, while not neglecting to create a fun and pleasant atmosphere internally in the company.”
What have you learnt so far in your journey at Energize?
“When you start at Energize you go through an introductory training program that gives you an in-depth introduction to how the company operates, what service we strive to provide, and what results we have to deliver – as individuals, teams and as an enterprise. I have had to adapt quickly to a different industry and apply my past working experience in a slightly different way, quickly acquiring knowledge of the SAP employment market in Germany.”
What motivates you?
“To apply my skills in a competitive environment where colleagues constantly strive to become more efficient and achieve better results. The social aspects of an enterprise, and the type of people I surround myself with, is hugely important to me in my every day. People spend most of their life at work, therefore it is vital to have colleagues that each other better, and having fun together when possible.”
If you weren’t a Recruitment Consultant, what job would you be doing?
“I would most likely work with Foreign Direct Investments, hence I have a huge passion for cross-border business operations in an advisory capacity.”
Most embarrassing moment?
“I go running in Manchester on a routine basis wearing my Liverpool rugby gear.”
Which famous person do you admire and why?
“Sam Warburton, captain of Wales and the British and Irish Lions. He is a excellent rugby player and always strives for perfection.”
What advice would you give to someone thinking of applying to Energize?
“Energize is a corporation there wants and expects for you to excel to higher standards. Its at the same time a place where colleagues care about one another and really emphasise professional support, while also trying to make the everyday as fun and colourful as possible.”
